Manual comparison macroscope
The Leica FS M (macroscopic comparator) is designed specifically for the forensic sciences. Its optical and mechanical performance provide the flexibility, convenience, and comfort needed to make it the universal instrument of a firearms and tool mark examiner. Versatile system configurations including dual viewing accessories offer an ideal solution for simultaneous observation of evidence for training and consultation.

- Left/right magnification difference = max. 0.5 for highest comparability of samples
- Superimposed or split-image comparison with manually adjustable dividing line for intuitive and easy operation
- Dividing line adjustable for width and parallelism for best comparison of samples
- Color differentiation of deviations in superimposed mode for easier distinction
- Tube factor: 1x, 1.5x, 2x with optional magnification changer for highest total magnification
- Fixed-magnification APO-Macro objectives 0.4x, 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x (with individual iris aperture diaphragm) for best optical performance
- Macro lens 0.33:1 (generates images with factor 1.3x, FoV = 160mm) for fast overview imaging, e.g. on large tool mark work
- Total magnification: 1.3x - 80x, with magnification changer: 1.3x - 160x for highest flexibility
